My name is Tony Bartley. I am an artist based in Leyland, Lancashire. I work in all mediums including oils, acrylics, inks and watercolours. I am trading under the company name Bartleyart which I set up in January 2014. My speciality is portrait paintings, but as you will see from my gallery, my portfolio is very varied.

In December 2014 I won the prize for "Best Painting" in the Harris Open Arts Exhibition in Preston out of approximately 380 paintings, some by established, known artists. 

 

As well as studying the techniques of the great master painters, I also read extensively about their lives to see "why" they painted their great works. I feel this is important if I also am to be expressive in my art.

 

All my works are for sale to private buyers, hotels, restaurants, businesses and my prices are based on the true value of the work considering materials used, time to complete and framing and mounting if required. I also do commission paintings upon request and am able to do child, family and pet portraits in any medium from photographs. Prints are available upon request of all my works included in my gallery, even those marled as sold.
